Magnets
have been used for thousands of years to optimise health. Queen
Cleopatra wore lodestones charged with magnetism to retain her youth
and beauty. Hippocrates wrote about the beneficial effects of magnetism
for its healing powers. Even Elizabeth 1st used them to alleviate
pain from arthritis and headaches.
The
recent developments of rare earth magnetic alloys has enabled staggeringly
small, powerful magnets to be manufactured. This has led to the
re-introduction of natural magnetic therapy. NASA scientists found
that astronauts suffered weakened immune systems and bone density
deficiencies after being in space where there is no
magnetic field. Their suits and craft are now lined with these new
magnetic alloys.
Blood
contains 4% iron. Applying a magnetic field creates turbulence in
the haemoglobin. This agitation in the blood improves circulation
and helps remove waste products. Improved circulation helps regenerate
damaged tissues more quickly as the rate at which oxygen and nutrients
are supplied to the tissue is increased.
Magnetic therapy simply involves the placing of magnets on the body
to increase blood flow and oxygen intake. This can reduce pain and
swelling, enhance resistance to disease, regenerate tissues more
quickly and promote general well being and increased energy.
